TapLook Announces Updated Tax Policy and Automatic Invoice Delivery Starting June 30, 2026

Effective June 30, 2026, TapLook is introducing an important billing and invoicing update to improve transparency, accuracy, and consistency for customers across Canada. As TapLook continues to expand its mobile beauty services for seniors, families, hospitals, retirement homes, and care communities, it is important that every customer receives a clear and professional payment record that reflects the full cost of service in accordance with the tax rules of each province.

Starting June 30, 2026, all Travel Fees and Parking Fees related to TapLook services will be included in the taxable subtotal and calculated according to the applicable GST, HST, or provincial tax rate of the province where the service is performed. This means that when a booking includes a service fee, travel fee, or parking fee, these amounts will be combined before the applicable tax is calculated. This update ensures that TapLook invoices are more accurate, standardized, and aligned with the way service-related charges are typically handled in Canada.

For example, if a customer books a mobile service and the appointment includes a service fee, travel fee, and parking fee, the tax will be calculated on the full taxable amount rather than on the service fee alone. This provides a more complete and transparent billing structure. Customers will be able to clearly see each charge listed separately, including the service fee, travel fee, parking fee, taxable subtotal, tax amount, and final total. This approach helps avoid confusion and gives customers, family members, caregivers, and organizations a more reliable record of the service provided.

TapLook is also introducing automatic PDF invoice delivery immediately after each service is completed. Once a partner or technician marks the service as completed, the customer will receive an email with payment instructions and a professional invoice attached as a PDF file. The invoice will include the customer’s booking information, service details, appointment date, service location, individual fee breakdown, applicable taxes, total amount, and remaining balance if payment has not yet been completed.

This new invoice process is especially helpful for customers who require proper documentation for personal records, family reimbursement, care management, hospital-related service tracking, or business accounting purposes. For hospitals, retirement homes, home care agencies, and family caregivers, having a clear invoice immediately after service completion makes it easier to confirm what was provided, how much was charged, and what amount remains payable.

For customers who choose to pay by e-Transfer, the invoice will show the actual service-related amount due, including applicable taxes. For customers who choose to pay by credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay through Stripe, TapLook may apply a separate processing fee for the payment method. However, this processing fee will not be included in the official service invoice. The invoice will only show the actual TapLook service charges, travel fee, parking fee, applicable tax, and final service total. This keeps the invoice clean, accurate, and focused on the service provided.

This update is part of TapLook’s ongoing effort to build a more professional and reliable service experience across Canada. As a mobile service provider serving seniors and care-related environments, TapLook understands the importance of trust, clarity, and proper documentation. Customers and families should always know exactly what they are paying for, and partners should have a consistent billing process to follow.

TapLook remains committed to providing mobile nail care, haircut services, beauty services, and wellness support with professionalism and transparency. By standardizing how Travel Fees and Parking Fees are taxed and by automatically issuing invoices after service completion, TapLook is strengthening its operational standards and improving the customer experience from booking to payment.

We appreciate the continued trust of our customers, families, partners, hospitals, retirement homes, and community organizations. TapLook will continue to improve its systems, service quality, and billing process to better support seniors and families across Canada.
