Deep Tissue / Therapeutic Massage

Specialty therapeutic massage techniques are used to treat:

  • Chronic musculoskeletal conditions and pain.
  • Maintain superficial and deep muscles, tendons, fascia, and a number of other tissues.

The amount of pressure used in a deep tissue/therapeutic massage is medium to firm, however, it should be communicated with your therapist if the pressure needs to be adjusted.

Relaxation Massage

Also known as a general Swedish massage, a relaxation massage uses light to medium pressure which creates a pain free experience. Although a relaxation massage does not focus on deeper structures to relieve musculoskeletal disorders and pain, there are many benefits to this treatment including:

  • Increased relaxation.
  • Decreased stress levels.
  • Superficial pain relief.

Myofascial Cupping

Myofascial cupping is a modified version of the ancient Eastern cupping practice. This technique targets the musculoskeletal system as an additional deep tissue/therapeutic tool. A vacuum suction and hard plastic cups are used during this technique and the cups can either stay stationary on the body or can be moved around. If you are interested or curious about myofascial cupping, let your therapist know during your initial assessment.

Note: There is no additional cost for myofascial cupping, and it can be added to your treatment time if you choose.
